Winchester, VA **Relocation Assistance Available** The Plastic Injection Mold Process Technician is the owner of the daily operation of plastic injection molding machines, automation cells, robots, auxiliary equipment, and standard operating processes. The Process Technician will complete start up and shut down procedures, monitor machine performance and parameters, and validate quality parts are produced.

What you’ll do:
- Start up, restart, and monitor plastic injection molding machines; size ranges 180T to 3200T Krauss-Maffei, Engel, JSW
- Create and optimize process run specifications parameters; heat profile, pressures, gate sequencing, hydraulic gates, pneumatic gates
- Start up, restart, and monitor automation cells; includes Fanuc robots, vision systems, assembly equipment, labelers, hot stamp machines
- Create robot programs used to pick parts from molding machine; Wittmann, Krauss-Maffei, Fanuc Set up and monitor auxiliary equipment used in the molding process such as thermolators, heater boxes, material loading system, etc.
- Validate process performance using parameter log audits to ensure equipment is functional and running at standard specification; injection molding machine, mold (tool/die), and plastic material (HDPE, PP)
- Perform plastic process defect and molding resolutions; short shots, warp, flash, gate failures, mold hot spot
- Identify processing inconsistencies caused by mold, machine, or material
- Conduct Quality Audits (level III) to validate high quality finished goods are produced; report out of spec conditions and follow quality control processes
- Complete portions of the First Article Verification sign off during new work order start up Complete all required process documentation and system audits including 5S audits, quality audits, process audits, etc.
- Perform and maintain material and color changes

Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience in plastic processing in the injection molding industry
- Knowledgeable in molding plastic materials; Polypropylene, High Density Polyethylene
- Knowledgeable in mold systems including hot runner, stack molds, and gating styles
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Flexible and adaptable to changing environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in the schedule
- Demonstrates problem solving skills with the focus on root cause analysis
