Today, Monoflo International announced the official establishment of its European business. Monoflo International GmbH extends our engineering, manufacturing, and service platform to meet the reusable transport packaging and container needs of European customers and system integrators.
In the midst of momentous changes across the European logistics landscape, there are two primary forces reshaping how operators think about packaging. On the one hand, warehouse automation continues to tighten tolerances inside the facility where automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) depend on precise, repeatable, millimeter-level interactions with every container they handle. On the other hand, the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) is changing the way manufacturing and distribution move goods between facilities and across the continent, giving reuse targets and circularity requirements a regulatory weight they’ve never carried before.
The challenge is that these pressures usually land in different departments. Automation runs through engineering. Packaging runs through procurement. Circularity and recycling run through compliance. But all three of these areas converge on the containers, trays, and pallets that move products throughout Europe. More importantly, considered together, these challenges require a shift in approach. Packaging is no longer a commodity purchase. It’s essential infrastructure.
That’s where Monoflo comes in. We built our new European operation from the ground up to meet all three of these pressures head-on. With leadership on the ground, a growing distributor and integrator network, and a packed tradeshow schedule, we’re committed to helping European operators face these challenges with innovative packaging infrastructure solutions.
Amid this ongoing change in the European logistics landscape, Monoflo International GmbH offers the stability of a proven, trusted partner. We aren’t a new brand entering an unfamiliar market. Monoflo has spent more than five decades engineering reusable containers and pallets for the most demanding distribution environments in North America and beyond. Many of the system integrators we supply in North America have their headquarters here, so we already understand their requirements. This new European entity brings that industry knowledge and precision-manufacturing foundation across the Atlantic, operating on the same core principles:
- Precision: Monoflo engineers every container, tote, and tray to meet (and hold) the dimensional tolerances automated warehouse systems depend on.
- Strength: All Monoflo products are engineered to deliver structural durability across many cycles and years of repetitive use.
- Consistency: We leverage our manufacturing process discipline to ensure batch one matches batch 1,000.
- Sustainability: Long service-life and closed-loop recycled content turn circularity into a measurable operational outcome.
- Partnership: Monoflo collaborates early in the design phase where container decisions help shape system architecture.
Our dedicated European team now serves the same core market segments that Monoflo has supported in North America for decades: automated systems and intralogistics, automotive and durable goods manufacturing, as well as food, beverage and retail distribution.
We look forward to sharing our reusable packaging expertise and product line with operators across Europe. Our introductory European tradeshow tour will be making stops at LogiMAT, IntraLogisteX, Empack Ghent, and FachPack. If you’re planning on attending one or more of these shows, be sure to stop by our booth. We’d love to introduce Monoflo in person.
