DC 2420-12 SP1

The DC 2420-12 SP1 advances our 24x20x12 platform with a series of meaningful engineering improvements. A new all-plastic hinge replaces the previous metal pin design, improving safety, recyclability and long-term reliability. Newly added load-bearing nesting ribs help distribute stack weight more efficiently, reducing bottom deformation and extending container life. The model also features our reinforced bumper system, ergonomic handles and optimized nesting profile—delivering consistent, high-performance handling in demanding distribution environments.

DC 2820-15 SP1

The new DC 2820-15 SP1 brings enhanced performance to the prevalent 28x20x15 footprint used across today’s distribution operations. A material-efficient, high-strength design supports improved ergonomics and sustainability, while a reinforced bumper system and updated lid detents enable easier handling and extended lid life. An all-plastic hinge enhances safety and recyclability, delivering a durable, user-focused solution that integrates seamlessly into existing fleets.

Both totes are available with a full range of tracking and identification options—barcodes, license plates, RFID, label areas and custom hot stamps—along with optional drain-hole bottoms, recycled content and color customization.

Monoflo International has launched a new Injection Molded 48” x 45” Nestable Pallet (NP 4845-06 IM). Manufactured to the AIAG footprint, our new Injection Molded 48” x 45” Nestable Pallet is a cost-effective alternative to our Nestable Structural Foam 48” x 45” Pallet, offering similar strength capabilities with greater impact resistance. The new NP4845-06 IM is built for durability in all Automotive and Manufacturing environments. Using a proprietary material blend that is specifically formulated to deliver superior performance and extended product life.

The pallet has four (4) ergonomic handles strategically designed to optimize comfort during manual stacking and de-stacking. All nine legs are equipped with impact ribbing to absorb side-force impact, minimizing damage, and delivering durability. Dedicated areas at each corner and above the center leg can accommodate hot stamping, cross-dock labeling, or RFID tags.

This pallet is purposefully designed to accommodate the AIAG family of handheld containers and is compatible to the structural foam pallet design. It has been engineered to use less material without compromising its robust strength and high-performance standards and, since it contains no metal, it can be easily recycled at the end of its useful life.

For more information on this Nestable Pallet, call 540-771-3077 or complete a contact form to speak with a sales team member.

Supporting and giving back to the community is an important part of who we are. This holiday season, Team Monoflo came together to support two local organizations in our Winchester, VA community.

Leading up to and during Monoflo’s annual Christmas Party, employees raised an astounding $30,000 in support of local charities, Winchester Rescue Mission, and Concern Hotline of Winchester. At the end of the event, Monoflo matched the employee amount, donating a total of $60,000 across both charities!

The Winchester Rescue Mission provides high-quality care to individuals devastated by the effects of poverty and homelessness by offering healing from the past, help for the present, and hope for the future. Winchester Rescue Mission has been serving men, women, and children experiencing homelessness and poverty in our community since 1973.

The Concern Hotline provides round-the-clock hotline support, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention for the City of Winchester, as well as Frederick, Clarke, Warren, Shenandoah, and Page counties. Their mission is to comfort and calm community members experiencing stress or crisis by providing a trained, compassionate listener 24 hours a day.

Monoflo International is thrilled to support these two amazing organizations that are making a difference and helping the people in our community.

Winchester, VA – Monoflo International, a premier manufacturer of quality, injection-molded reusable transport packaging, has completed construction of a new 325,000 square foot storage and logistics facility, located at 100 Ezra Ln. in Winchester, Virginia. This expansion will double Monoflo’s existing warehouse space to accommodate the tens of millions of plastics totes, pallets, trays, and bulk containers the company manufactures each year.

John Johnson, Senior Vice President at Monoflo International highlighted the growth of the company sharing, “Our growth is about more than just increasing the number of facilities and machines in our operation; it’s about providing value to our customers. Monoflo was built on a commitment to continuous improvement. When we see an opportunity to expand in a way that helps our customers thrive, it unlocks new opportunities for our sustainable growth as well.”

The new warehouse is strategically positioned between Monoflo’s two Virginia production facilities and immediately off Interstate 81, delivering freight cost advantages to customers. The new facility will also support customers who use Monoflo Logistics Services, a recently released solution from Monoflo. This service offers flexible short-term storage for customers to manage the inflow of reusable packaging to their sites.

“From the site selection to the design and development of the building, every decision we made in the execution of the new facility was driven by how we can best support our customers,” reports Evan Hinkle, Warehouse & Logistics Manager at Monoflo International. “We employ lean warehouse management best practices to accurately and efficiently store and move inventory and leverage our relationships with freight companies to deliver our customers’ orders on time and on budget.”

Monoflo operates three facilities in North America and employs over 325 employees across the United States and Mexico. This new storage and logistics facility is just one of many recent expansions as Monoflo continues to invest in infrastructure to meet the growing demand from customers across many industries, including, food and beverage, automotive, general manufacturing, and automated systems and warehousing.

Ben Waterman, Business Development Manager at Monoflo International shares, “We are continually looking for opportunities to provide additional solutions and values for our customers and gain organizational and manufacturing efficiencies. This project does this, and we are very excited about growing our logistics services to the next level and beyond.”

Monoflo is excited to continue its support in the local community, engaging ten local Virginia contracting companies to execute this expansion.

“We are very pleased to continue our investment and commitment here in Frederick County, a locale that we have successfully partnered with for nearly fifty years,” Waterman shared.

Once the transition to the new facility is complete, Monoflo plans to convert the current warehouse to additional manufacturing space, increasing production capacity and shortening lead times to continue to better support its customers and their project timelines.

Giving back to the community is an important part of the culture at Monoflo International. Each year, Monoflo donates to local charities to support their cause.

In 2022, Monoflo donated an astounding $544,227 total to 13 charities that needed help! Monoflo interns gain hands-on experience with summer internships

A vital part of our internal culture at Monoflo International is the availability of training and professional progression opportunities, and that includes our summer internship program.

What is the Monoflo Summer Internship Program? There are many different career paths in manufacturing, from Production and Maintenance to Customer Service and Accounting. The goal of Monoflo’s summer internship program is to give interns valuable insight into all the opportunities available so they may better understand how they want to focus their education and pursue a career when they are ready to enter the workforce.

Our internship program is mutually beneficial as interns begin to build their resumes and gain valuable experience from skilled mentors that they can apply in their future roles, while Monoflo gets a first look at some of the talented people preparing to enter the job market. Many of our interns return to Monoflo after graduating as full-time employees, so it’s a win-win.

Monoflo’s 2022 Summer Internships in Review As the summer draws to an end, so do our 2022 summer internships. This year, Monoflo had six interns join our team to gain hands-on experience related to their individual areas of interest in Sales, Engineering, Maintenance, Human Resources, and Production. We were able to catch up with one of those interns before she headed back to college in Washington, DC.

“It was a great experience learning from experts in the industry. I got the chance to help the inside sales and marketing teams and discovered that I have a passion for Sales! I hope to come back next summer and continue to utilize and grow my skill set.” – Anna, Monoflo International Summer 2022 Intern.

We wish Anna and all of our interns the best of luck in the coming school year and in their future careers.

Monoflo recently completed its latest expansion project, Stonewall Production, that involved converting 32,000 sq. ft. of its 150,000 sq. ft. warehouse space into production space and will be housing six additional injection molding machines. The Krauss Maffei machines are going to be manufacturing products in their automation product line, including Stack Only Containers that are in use in ASRS warehouses across the country.

What does this expansion mean for the future of Monoflo?

Ashly Hawkins, Operations Manager, said the expansion showcases the growth of the company stating, “The addition of Stonewall production has given us the ability to produce more products in growing market segments. By incorporating automated technology in the production cells, we are able to provide a more consistent product to our customers, which stems from the ability to control each operation from beginning to end.”

This is the second major production facility expansion completed in the last year, as the company completed the construction of a 22,000 square foot “Imboden” production hall in 2021. This investment included the addition of five production machines that operate 24/7 to support increased demand and offer decreased lead times to customers.

Headquartered in Virginia, with additional manufacturing facilities in Kansas and Mexico, Monoflo continues to invest in state-of-the-art technology and equipment to provide essential products to several top Fortune companies.
